Professor Ghil‘ad Zuckermann (DPhil Oxford; PhD Cambridge) is listed among Australia’s top 30 ‘living legends of research’ by The Australian newspaper (2024). He received the Rubinlicht Prize for his outstanding contribution to Yiddish scholarship in 2023. He is the Chair of the Jury for the Jeonju International Awards for Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage. Professor Zuckermann is the founder of Revivalistics, a new global, comparative, trans-disciplinary field of enquiry surrounding language reclamation, revitalization and reinvigoration. His MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), Language Revival: Securing the Future of Endangered Languages, has attracted 20,000 learners from 190 countries (speakers of hundreds of distinct languages):
Dr. Maria Isabel Maldonado has made valuable discoveries and contributions in the fields of Urdu and other languages of Pakistan as well as English and Spanish linguistics. She is the recipient of the Fatima Jinnah National Pride Award (2021) and various gold medals. She has worked at Kinnaird College for Women, University of Management and Technology and University of Lahore as well as with the Ministry of Education on international language projects and has published 37 national and international articles and 8 books. She has supervised 22 Mphil theses and 8 PhDs.
Fizza Farrukh is Assistant Professor at Department of English, Faculty of Social Sciences, Air University, Pakistan. Holding a PhD in Linguistics, her research interests lie in digital media, discourse, identity studies, neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Her work has been published in many well-recognized international journals and conference proceedings.
