Dr. Muhammad Asir Ajmal is the Dean and Professor of Psychology at GIFT University, Pakistan. He is also the Director of Languages, aiming to promote cross-cultural literacy. He received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Dartmouth College USA and his MSc in Psychology from Government College Lahore. In addition to Punjabi, Urdu, and English, he speaks Spanish, French, German, and Chinese. He has also studied Russian, Classical Arabic, Persian, and Hebrew languages.
Dr. Taimur Kayani is the founding pioneer Dean of flipped classrooms & ODL at GIFT University. In addition, he is the Patron of the Language Center. His mission is to assist GIFT students, the community, and the corporate sector in enhancing their language proficiency. He has a PhD in English Literature, specializing in drama and theatre from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has also done an MS in film & TV in a professional track from Beaconhouse National University. He is the author of the internationally acclaimed play, NO EXIT, which earned the Best Drama Award at the Alhamra Theater Festival in 2023.
Dr. Shazia Riaz Dar, a dedicated and accomplished scholar in Applied Linguistics, serves as an Assistant Professor at GIFT University. With a PhD in Applied Linguistics, she has made significant contributions to the field through research, publications, and presentations at international conferences. Her expertise encompasses Corpus Linguistics, second language acquisition, Discourse analysis, and Sociolinguistics etc, making her a valued educator and mentor to the students. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Shazia is the focal person of the Gift Debating and Public Speaking Society, where she inspires and guides students in developing critical thinking and eloquent public speaking skills. She directed a classic play of English Literature “Macbeth” and constituted the legacy of GIFT Annual Play. Her commitment to fostering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment is evident in both her academic and extracurricular endeavors
Zahid Majeed works for Language Center GIFT University as the English Language Instructor, Teacher Trainer and PGD-ELT Coordinator. He holds a MPhil in Applied Linguistics, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a CELTA from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience teaching English Paper I to CSS aspirants, and teaching English to university students in subjects such as Composition I and II, Business Communication & Report Writing, Essentials of Business (MBA Program), Communication Skills, Interpersonal Communication Skills, English I (Listening and Speaking), English II (Reading and Writing Skills), and Functional English. At present, he is working on several projects including PGD-ELT courses for aspiring English teachers, Expository Writing Course for the BS Program, as well as Reading and Writing Skills Course based on the Flipped Classroom Model. He has been teaching English Language Improvement Classes, IELTS (Academic Module and General Training Module) Preparation Classes since 2014. As a language trainer, he has vast experience leading workshops and hosting university ceremonies.
Hassan basit is the English language instructor with an experience of eight years in esteemed institutions like GIFT, Federal Government Degree College and Pak Austria Fachhochshule. He’s an expert language instructor and used direct method of teaching instead of Grammar translation methods. He’s brought innovative techniques and activity based learning in the course of functional English for the practical use of English language. Besides language he’s also a teacher of poetry and has authored two books “Taciturnity” and “Finally I said it”. He has an additional charge of manager Industrial Linkages SASS at GIFT University. Hassan Basit is also the faculty supervisor of a vibrant literary society at GIFT ” Nairang e khayal” and has rendered significant services in this regard.
Anam Rafique works for the GIFT Language Centre as Chinese language instructor. She holds Mphil in Business Administration, diploma in Chinese language and culture and HSK 5 certificate from Shijiazhuang Hebei Normal University, China. She has extensive experience of teaching Chinese to under graduate students and workshops on business Chinese. She is currently searching on effective methods to teach Chinese to Pakistani students that are based on activities, to make the learning process of most difficult language interesting and fruitful. She has strong grip on teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking Chinese language to beginners and advance level.
I am a lecturer at GIFT University and a member of the GLC department. I have more than ten years of working experience and have taught in schools like ‘The City School’, where I was a class in charge of grade four and five and ‘Jadeed Dastgir Ideal High School, where I worked as a Creative Writing teacher and acted as the main compere of the Peoples Colony Branch. I have taught in Be Superior Group of Colleges as class in charge of two sections and am currently teaching in GIFT University as an English Lecturer. In GIFT University, I take IELTS 1 classes held at GIFT University. I am also working as a coordinator of ENG-Interpersonal Communication Skills and an Event Head and Convener of GLC Club.

Her professional interest extends to society development, promoting change and encouraging change agents, implantation and promoting the common practice of values-based recruitment especially in Educational institutes through extensive research.
Sarah Anjum is an enthusiastic and highly motivated ESL instructor, possessing a comprehensive six-year tenure, adept in employing conventional and innovative instructional methodologies to inspire student engagement and proficiency in the English language. With strong management and communication skills, she effectively fosters motivation and mentorship for learners across diverse ages and proficiency levels. She has extensive teaching experience to university students in various subjects as Composition I & II, Business Communication and Report Writing, Technical Writing, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Phonetics and Phonology, Journalistic and Visionary Discourse. Being a Ph.D. scholar is currently pursuing research in Applied Linguistics.
Zain Fatima currently works for GIFT Language Center at GIFT University as an English lecturer. She has an M.Phil degree in English Linguistics and has two Masters Degrees, one MA English language and other one is MA TEFL (Teaching of English as Foreign Language) from University of Punjab and Allama Iqbal Open University, respectively. She has vast experience of teaching in public and private sectors. Her expertise lies in Interpersonal Communication skills, Technical Writing, English I and II. She is the faculty member of PGD ELT and focal person of different workshops.
Hold a degree in MPhil English from a renowned institute (GIFT University), also possess pretty good teaching experience of 4 years of LGS to the students. A good presenter with expertise in presentation skills. My aim is to establish student centered classrooms by applying my innovative skills. I teach English language through Language oriented fun activities in a classroom. I have zeal and zest to conduct motivational and inspirational seminars, especially for the students of Gift University. My interest also falls in doing research projects.
Mr. Ali Hassan holds an MPhil in Management Science from GIFT University and a BBA from the University of Gujrat. He has also secured the second position in the Sustainable Micro Entrepreneurship competition organized by TU Berlin German. Now serving as the Senior Executive of the GIFT Language Center, Ali is committed to fostering an engaging and innovative learning environment. His vision is to enhance language education through modern pedagogical strategies and international collaborations, aligning with GIFT University’s mission to provide excellence in education.
